Guidelines for admission to F.Y.J.C.
(Arts, Commerce & Science)

Admission to First Year Junior College (FYJC) will be conducted as per the online admission system introduced by the Government of Maharashtra, under the guidance of the Deputy Director of Education, Greater Mumbai.

Students are required to visit the official website: https://mahafyjcadmissions.in/

Documents Required for SSC Board Students:
  • Printout of the online application form duly signed by the Principal with school stamp
  • Duly filled college admission form
  • 2 attested true copies of Std. X Mark Sheet
  • Original School Leaving Certificate + 2 attested true copies
  • Photocopy of Aadhaar Card
  • 2 recent stamp-size photographs
  • Attested copy of relevant documents for reservation (Sports, Cultural, etc.), if applicable

Documents Required for CBSE / ICSE / Other Board Students:

  • Eligibility Form
  • Attested true copy of Passing Certificate
  • Original Migration Certificate
  • Attested true copy of Mark Sheet
  • Original Leaving Certificate with counter signature

✅ Important Note:
Students applying from boards other than SSC must obtain the Eligibility Form from the respective Board Office and submit it along with the required documents within 15 days from the date of admission.

The Junior College offers courses in Arts, Commerce & Sience prescribed by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education at the 10+2 level.The courses lead to the Higher secondary Certificate Examination in the respective streams.

Scheme of Evaluation
  • Examinations are conducted as per the rules laid down by the State HSC Board.
  • The Preliminary examination for S.Y.J.C Students is compulsory.
  • The F.Y.J.C students will appear for four examination viz 2 Unit Tests
  • One terminal test
  • At the end of the first term and one final examination
  • At the end of the year. A students has to obtain a minimum of 35% marks in each subject on an average i.e. a+b+c should be 35% (70 marks out of 200 marks) in order to be promoted to S.Y.J.C. class.
Admission & Eligibility – Junior College (ARTS)
  • Admission to First year in Junior college (FYJC – Std XI) is offered following the declaration of result of S.S.C. examination by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education. The admissions are given strictly as per the directions issued by the Department of Education, Govt. of Maharashtra from time to time.
  • The candidates who have passed the S.S.C. examination of Maharashtra Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education or an examination regarded as equivalent by the State Board are eligible for admission to F.Y.J.C. (Std XI) class.
  • The students who have passed the equivalent examination as mentioned above will have to produce a provisional eligibility certificate issued by the Divisional Secretary, Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education, Sector no. 16, Vashi, Navi Mumbai- 400073.
  • The eligible candidates have to apply in the prescribed form made available after the declaration of S.S.C. result.
  • The schedule of admission as prescribed by the Deputy Director (Education), Dept. of education, Govt. of Maharashtra will be strictly followed.
  • Students passing Std. X from CBSE and ICSE Boards will be considered at par with those who have passed the S.S.C. examination of the State Board.

  • Statement of Marks 2 attested copies (Original to be shown at the time of admission).
  • School Leaving Certificate 1 attested copy (Original to be submitted at the time of admission).
  • * Caste Certificate – 1 attested copy (Original to be shown at the time of admission).
